The Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose is currently conducting research on the Public Sector Dynamic Capabilities Index. In June, we will have researchers present their work. The aim of the workshop is to understand the concept of dynamic capabilities and to develop the model further with Finnish innovation actors and networks from cities, central government, and academia.

The workshop is facilitated by Rainer Kattel, Ruth Puttick, Fernando Fernandez-Monge and Mia Tarp from the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose, UCL.

Over the past year, the researchers have engaged with over 20 city governments in 11 different countries. They have done 62 expert interviews with officials in city governments and regional and national governments. Additionally, they have engaged with other urban experts, such as academics, philanthropic foundations and development banks, who are involved in or fund city government efforts. These interviews have helped refine the conceptualisation of dynamic capabilities.

Reserve June 5th from 1 PM to 3:30 PM (EET) in your calendar and join us for the most rewarding workshop of early summer in Helsinki!

We are organising the workshop in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Ministry of Finance and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra.
